At Methodist Temple, we believe that every child should know and be shown that they are loved and cherished by God and by our church family. Children & Family Ministries support families by cultivating a spiritual foundation through worship, education, fellowship, and service. These opportunities allow each child to know the excitement and wonder of a life in Christ.
Following the Children's Moment (an activity during the main service), all children are invited to participate in Children's Worship for an interactive morning full of stories, songs, and activities which introduce and instill the word and truth of God.
TOTZ : Newborn- 3 Years Old
SPROUTZ: 3- 6 Years Old.
KIDZ: 1st- 5th Grade
This year's Summer Curriculum covers topics such as Bible Science, Campfire Stories, and Jesus Rebel Force. As we understand the hectic summer schedules of our ministry members, we have adapted our curriculum in such a way that even if your child cannot attend consistently, he or she can still be engaged with the ability to understand our overall theme. These high interest curriculums can be a great experience for ALL children during the summer break.
TOTZ can remain in the nursery for the duration of the Sunday School hour.
SPROUTZ are escorted from the Yellowbird Room to another classroom for a structured Sunday School experience. Their class consists of circle/story time, fun activities such as games, crafts, or music, and snacks.
KIDZ meets in the Celebration Center. All first through fifth graders begin the session by reciting the pledge followed by a short lesson, usually related to making good decisions in life. Then, the children divide into small groups allowing for meaningful discussion with their peers.
Boys and girls in fourth and fifth grade gather monthly for BootCamp, a time for fun activities, team building, and growing closer to Christ and to each other. Meetings take place the first Friday of every month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Bootcamp is led by a volunteer team of counselors from the congregation who have positive attitudes and integrity as well as a strong commitment to safety and to Christian values.

Our Children's Ministry has expanded to help nurture and support the children in first through third grade. The Goofbusters meet on the third Friday of each month.
