Every action we take is aimed toward bringing others closer to Jesus Christ. The Methodist Temple Youth Program offers many outlets for youth to plug in to Jesus and the community as well as to make new friends.
Methodist Temple will be offering higher education scholarships for the 2017-18 school year. Fill out the 2018 Scholarship Application & email it to email@example.com.
Both Sr. High and Middle School meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. year-round in the Teen Center (lower level). These classes are meant to give middle school and high school students the opportunity to study books of the Bible in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Youth Refuge takes place every Sunday evening in the Teen Center. Middle School meets from 5:30-6:45 p.m. High School meets 7:00-8:30 p.m. Invite a Friend Here
Guy's Night takes place on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for eighth grade through twelfth grade. Parents must provide rides for the students who cannot drive. Guy's Night exists to provide a safe place for young men to witness the ways in which God-Loving men live their lives. This evening teaches scripture pertaining to real-life issues in such a way that non-church-going students can understand the lesson. A meal is provided, and following the lesson, guys are invited to stay and play basketball. This diverse group of young men is the perfect place to develop a deeper relationship with God and with others. Guy's Night is intended to break down the preconceived notions of traditional "church" without neglecting the gospel. Ultimately, we want our students to come into a closer relationship with Christ.
Every summer both Middle School and Senior High groups have the opportunity to go on a mission trip in the local area, and every few years, we attend a long-distance trip whether in the United States or overseas. Our teams have been to Ft. Wayne IN, Cincinnati OH, St. Louis MO, Newburgh IN.
Our upcoming overseas trip is to Guatemala to serve with Mission Guatemala. We have been working hard to raise funds throughout the year in an effort to cover the majority of the expense for these missions.
As our youth ministry grows, so does our need for volunteers. Adult volunteers are occasionally needed for Youth Refuge and special events throughout the year. If you are interested in helping, please let Sean know.
